Confirmation of the June 3-26 event was announced in a joint statement on Friday from CONCACAF, the soccer confederation for North and Central America and the Caribbean and CONMEBOL, the South American confederation.

The tournament, marking the 100th anniversary of the inaugural 1916 tournament, will run from June 3rd through 26th and will mark the first time the Copa America is played outside of South America.   CONMEBOL and CONCACAF confirmed that all ten CONMEBOL members will be joined by six CONCACAF teams in the tournament.
